Tianda Group, being the Platinum Partner, sponsored the Sydney Symphony's China Tour 2012.

Being part of the events to celebrate 40 years of diplomatic relations between China and Australia, Sydney Symphony Orchestra has started a tour spanning 6 cities in China, namely Tianjin, Beijing, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Shanghai and Qingdao since October 17. Such tour is led by Conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy and the program includes Dvorák's Cello Concerto in B Minor, featuring internationally respected Chinese cellist, Mr. Wang Jian, and Shostakovich's Symphony No. 10 in E Minor.

In the evening of 19 October, Sydney Symphony Orchestra performed a concert at National Centre for the Performing Arts. Chinese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Cui Tiankai, Australian Ambassador to the People's Republic of China, Ms. Frances Adamson, and Chairman of Tianda Group and Tianda Institute, Mr. Alan Fang, attended the performance and the cocktail reception. Witnessing the 40th anniversary of Sino-Australian relationship, Tianda Group believes this event will further strengthen the cultural and economic exchange of China and Australia, and Sydney Symphony Orchestra will make all the performances a great success.

The internationally acclaimed Sydney Symphony Orchestra is resident at the iconic Sydney Opera House and performs more than 180 concerts a year in Australia and around the world, with some of the world's most illustrious conductors and soloists. In 2009, Tianda Group sponsored Sydney Symphony Orchestra's first performance in China.
